Click below to view Jan Merle's interview with Kelly Craig on NBCTV6  "South Florida Today" on the subject of "Aging in Place." This segment aired on Tuesday, March 6, 2007. Jan uses student projects from his AiFL Ergonomics course (IND1605C) to illustrate ways that retiring Baby Boomers, multi-generational families, and others can adapt their homes to accommodate present or future physical disability.

Instructor Profile: Jan Merle, ASID, LEED AP

In addition to being an interior design instructor at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Jan is a practicing state Registered  Interior Designer (RID) in Boca Raton, FL.  He is exam certified by the National Council on Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and is a Professional Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Jan was also recently exam certified by the US Green Building Council as an Accedited Professional for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED AP). He holds a Master of Fine Art degree in interior design from Miami International University of Art & Design.
